About the different designs:
The Copper & Bead Fringe earrings are inspired by ribbon skirts worn as a visual symbol of Native American woman pride as well as telling the story of adaptation and survival. Red thread is utilized as an homage to the red cloth found wrapped around the sagebrush bracelet the artist’s brother gifted the artist with from a sun dance. It is a sign of protection for the people.
Etched Image on Copper are created with the artist’s love of intaglio printmaking in mind. The Star Quilt is a symbol of honor and generosity. The bead fringe is meant to compliment the etched copper.
The Jingle Cone & Bead earrings are inspired by the artist’s love of the jingle dress. Mini copper jingle cones are utilized along with seed beads.
